I have just given my life to Christ but I am trying hard to tell my workmates about Christ but they just abuse me and my God. Why?

    1. BGEA says:

      Hi Akampa,

Being a follower of Christ isn’t always easy. There’s a very real battle for our souls. Ephesians 6:12 says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

In 2 Timothy 3:12-13, the Apostle Paul warned Timothy that, “Everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.”

We experience spiritual battle as Christians not so much because of who WE are but because of who Christ is. In Mark 13:13, Jesus says, “Everyone will hate you because of me,” but He continues that, “the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

We encourage you to visit the website below to help you grow in your relationship with Christ. The stronger our relationship with Him, the harder it is for us to be swayed. Here are some encouraging verses for you, too.

1 Corinthians 10:13: “God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

1 Peter 3:14: “But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled…”

1 Peter 4:19: “Those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.”

1 Corinthians 15:58: “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

Romans 5:2-5: “We boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

2 Timothy 4:7-8: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing.”

God bless you and stay strong in the Lord.
