The three-day with Franklin Graham is underway in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The event is a joint effort between 1,400 local churches and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Nestled among the Caribbean, Puerto Rico is an unincorporated United States territory.
Of the 3.5 million people that live in Puerto Rico, more than 350,000 call the capital of San Juan home.
Franklin Graham talked with members of the media on Thursday ahead of the Festival opening.
Franklin Graham will share from Hiram Bithorn Stadium—the same place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where his father preached in 1995.
San Juan is full of historic landmarks including the iconic Santa Maria Magdalena de Pazzis cemetery, which rests along the Atlantic Ocean.

San Juan was established in 1521 as the second oldest European settlement in the Americas. The city was a point of departure for Spanish expeditions in the 16th century as explorers set out for the New World.

Another local draw, especially for bird enthusiasts, is Parque de las Palomas. The picturesque park is in Old San Juan.
Puerto Ricans have been spreading the word about the upcoming Festival.
The sun sets over beautiful San Juan. Please keep this city in your prayers, that would take hold this weekend and hearts would be changed for eternity.
